Individual values and organization’s values are reflected by the organization’s plans and actions in the working process. When individual values and the values of organization coincide and are very much alike, it means the success in work and comfortable atmosphere at work.

Some of m personal values and organization’s values are alike, as the mission, vision and expected results. Also I am devoted to my organization and I love my job. I enjoy it and I have to admit that I consider myself lucky to have such job, as I am completely satisfied with my job description and people surrounding me. Although values of a person change, he adapts to the values of organization, and vice versa. Workplace values have not changed much for me, as I am fond of the current atmosphere and I appreciate what I am doing and creating at work each day.

My individual values, my understanding of work I am doing and of what has to be achieved is important and I am glad that everything is in harmony for me. My behavior at work is carefully thought out because of my personal values and thoughts considering the work I am doing. My actions aimed at the work improvement and at the friendly atmosphere within the organization, as it is obvious that such factors help to prevent misunderstanding and it is done for the sake of organization, its success.

Organization’s values should be very alike with its plans and actions. Everything should be connected in the organization, as it is important for the whole system to work successfully and to have expected results. Carefully thought out plan and the strategy of a company should be known by each employee, as well as the principle goals and mission of organization. Each employee should be completely aware of the updates, plans and new creative ideas to be implemented into the life of organization. Each movement should be made in harmony and every decision should reflect the motive and a goal.

The basic concept of “culture” in organization includes the general patterns of behavior and shared values, beliefs and assumptions of the societies and different social groups. In particular organization since its inception goes the concept of “organizational culture”, with its specific characteristic only to its set of values.

Organization’s culture is a collection of the most important assumptions of adopted members of the organization, which will get the results through claimed values of the organization, which guides people’s behavior and actions. Corporate culture is sometimes referred to as organizational culture, consists of ideas, beliefs, core values, which are shared by members of the organization. It is considered that it is the values that are the core of determining the corporate culture in general. Values define the styles and behaviors, and styles of communication with colleagues and clients, the level of motivation, activity and more. Therefore we cannot take a corporate culture only by a set of certain external signs, such as uniforms, ceremonies, etc.

Formation of the organizational culture and values is a long and complicated process. The main steps of this process should be: the definition of its mission, the definition of the basic core values. And then based on core values, there should be formulated standards of conduct for members of the organization, traditions and symbols. Thus, the formation of corporate culture is divided into the following four stages:

  • definition of the organization’s mission, core values;
  • formulation of standards of conduct for members of the organization,
  • building traditions of the organization;
  • development of symbols.

Nowadays, progressive managers perceive organizational culture as a powerful strategic tool to direct all departments and individual staff members to accomplish common goals. These goals should reflect the organization’s culture, principles, goals and mission.

Each organization must conduct its activities in accordance with the values that are essential for its employees. When creating a corporate culture, there should be taken into account social values and national characteristics. In addition, for a more complete understanding and sharing of corporate values from the organization it is important to ensure that their different national interests and perception in the organization. The gradual adoption of these values would allow the members of the organization to achieve stability and success in its development.

Each organization has its own set of values that gives the individual for the company accents of events, objects, relationships, perception of life. Critical values assume the character of the most important principles that underlie the ideology; they usually are reflected in the mission and objectives and thus directly linked with the strategy of the organization, identifying the immediate and long-term plans.
